Character is the heart of this program. We practice what we teach -- respect, confidence, integrity, kindness, and more.
Functional fitness skills are introduced and taught in a way that is safe and appropriate for any kid’s level of development.

The FunFit Kids Program.
FunFit Kid athletes have a blast in a safe, positive learning environment. The program is designed for kids aged 5-12 and based on the CrossFit principles of constantly varied, functional movement - running, jumping, climbing, pulling, pushing and more.
Athletes measure their progress through a level system, earning stars and different colored shirts as they pass through technical and physical skill tests similar to that of a martial arts school.
Strength in character is the foundation of this program. Each class is an opportunity for athletes to practice character skills that are taught. Growth mindset is a guiding light and mistakes are welcomed as they are part of the process of learning and growth.

Fitness Based On Kids’ Needs
Founders of Fundamental Fitness, Melissa and Trent, are both CrossFit Kids Certified Coaches. Melissa, head of the FunFit Kids Program, is a licensed Occupational Therapist that truly enjoys working with children and youth. Her experience providing therapeutic services within the local school district and community influences her programming, coaching style and interactions with athletes.
